Had major sinus problems and after 3 operations I'm finally on the road to recovery just the screws and plates left to be removed. Thank you ENT, a great team and great doctors.
In 2015 I had brain surgery for a tumour. It was frightening to be told that I had a tumour and had to have an operation but the kindness, care and support of all the staff involved resulted in it not being as bad as I expected. My experience was pain free. I had the operation on Monday lunchtime and was home by Wednesday and cutting my lawn on Saturday. Unfortunately I have other tumours now but the experts at Addenbrooks have enabled me to make my own decisions going forward. All the staff are so special and their support and expertise is greatly reassuring.
All the staff that were involved in my out patient treatment were polite and pleasant. Apart from a one hour delay from my scheduled appointment time all pre and post exams were done smoothly and efficiently. Thank you
One area of feedback would be to have better sign posting of car park 1 for those approaching from Dame Mary Archer entrance to the hospital.
Full marks to the NHS - I arrived at 5pm in pain and discomfort and left an hour after pain free. Would like to thank the male consultant who looked after me - can't believe how lucky we are to have a walk-in National Health Service - thank you so much for your time helping me today.
I have always had great faith in Addenbrooke's Hospital and will continue to do so having known it for the last 70 odd years.
I had surgery and the care was first class with entirely reasonable waiting times for surgery and clinic appointments
Always been a good experience
My 1 month old baby was admitted to a & e with a high temp, she was seen immediately and started on antibiotics, a diagnosis of meningitis was made within an hour of us being there. We were admitted to a ward, the doctors, nurses and support staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Fortunately my daughter made a full recovery, we received wonderful aftercare and I will be eternally grateful to everyone who looked after us at Addenbrookes.
Well the PALs team are hopeless and there boss the chief exe should step down a badly run hosiptial with great doctors and nurses its a shame its run so badly. You need to change at the top first to make any chance of changes working in the management below. And all the PALs team are interested in is closing your case, they telephone you and tell you anymore problems just let them know but thats with out answering any questions.
I was seen by the liason psychiatry team and they once again refused to help and sent me home with no help or support. They ignored everything that was said to them and ignored the situation. They are putting my life at risk everytime they do this. Something really needs doing about this team as they are putting alot of people's lives at risk including mine.
